Hey everyone!
It's a Monday, no tafe, no work, rainy outside. Yep. It's a lazy day with DVDs and overdue homework! Well better get used to this, all by myself with only my dog to talk too. This time next week, my parents will be away. And if any of you are thinking loud late night parties and stuff, well, let me just say you are talking to the wrong sibling! hehe. Still I plan to organise a few DVD nights. If nothing else, it'll be a chance for me to see how I do living on my own.
Ok. Yes. I know it's been ages since my last blog. Everyone will just have to deal with the fact that I don't go online very much. That aside, I'm finally doing something everyone has been pestering me to do...
In every Popular Fiction class at TAFE, our teacher gives us a line or opening phrase and asks each person in the class to develop it into a mini story in five minutes. He very often writes up something which obviously relates to the romance genre. It's clear that he doesn't like the genre, and in a way, this takes the piss out of it. Well, just to get him back, a few of us take these exercises...well, more than lightly. Here's one we were given last term to do in pairs...
"Of course I still love you"...
This is what Esther and I did to it. (Remember that blog about the dairy and lady bug?)
"Of course I still love you." The diary snapped shut. The
lady bug scuttled the perimeter of the diary's face.
"But you bearly open yourself to me." The diary ruffled
its pages in defiance.
"It's not my fault. My owner treats me appaulingly. He
never keeps his appointments."
"That's no excuss!"
"Well, what about that pencil I've seen you with?"
"Don't bring my pencil into this," the lady bug flexed its
wings.
"I've seen his handy work." The diary flashed its middle
pages. "See?"
"My pencil doesn't scrawl like that!"
"I think he does," the diary huffed, smugly closing itself,
"judging by the way I've seen you and 'Mr. Lead' rolling
around all over the place." The lady bug turned away
and cried.
"How dare you! That's it. I never want to see you again.
I'm going back to my mini-texter-lid townhouse." And with
a muffled sob, the lady flew away to the tiny yellow
mini-texter-lid townhouse in the over-sized over-filled blue
pencil case, the shine of the diary's '2005' logo shining on
her back.
Well, that's it. You can see the level of intrest we have in many of our TAFE classes. I had to add on the last few bits myself, but it turned out well, if you can call a diary-ladybug love story a good piece of writing!
Till next time (whenever that is! hehe)
Seeya.
Hey Everyone!
I'm at tafe now, and i'm typing this blog cos i have nothing else to do!
I thought, 'Hey hey! Library! Don't go in there very often!' and now i'm on the computer and I can't think of anything to do. Hmm. Must be the total lack of games...
Had a great time on Sunday with the BBQ. It was great catching up with everyone. Hope everyone had a good time. I'm definatly gonna organise another one some time soon. Mum turned to me afterwards and said 'you have a really nice group of friends.' So, YAY for you guys.
Anyways, not too much else to say. Still here, in the library, waiting of Es. Got more class then finished for my first week back at tafe this semester. Getting a hair cut tonight, gonna go spiky! Maybe good, maybe not, may scare customers at work! Hehe! We'll just have to see.
Till next blog (when ever that is!)
Remember: It never hurts to have a good laugh, especially at yourself.
Seeya!
Just an update. I'm feeling a whole lot better now, thanks to cough medicine, heaps of layers and some retail therapy with my best friend yesterday! YAY! (Thanks Megzi!) Hopefully I can spend the rest of my holidays actually having a holiday!
As soon as holidays start, I get sick. Well, it's been a long time coming. I tried to keep well so I could attend TAFE and not fall behind. And now, it has finally hit me! I swear, if I blew my nose any more, I'd perform the early stages of mummification (removing my brain through my nose!)
Feeling a bit better today, considering the past two nights of sleep have been hallucination fun! What's worse is that I'm not my happy self at the moment! I've like gone from 20 to 75 overnight. I'm like a little grumpy old man, all curled up on the couch with a massive blanket covering me and layers upon layers of clothing on! The sooner I'm better, the sooner I can get back to my old self!
Well, that's about it. I know it been a while since my last blog entry, but TAFE work just piled up on me. Now I'm on holidays, expect to see more...I hope!
Keep laughing for me, cos when I start laughing, it turns into a painful coughing fit! So make up for my lack of laughter.
See ya!
